Chelsea Close to Securing Sterling Deal

Manchester City winger Raheem Sterling is on the verge of becoming the first major signing for Chelsea under new American owner Todd Boehly. The sports network "Sky" reported that the England international will cost Chelsea £47.5 million ($57.1 million), while the BBC suggests the fee could rise to £50 million including bonuses. Chelsea reportedly agreed on Sterling's personal terms four days ago and is now awaiting a medical examination to sign a contract expected to last five years with an option for an additional year. The England international has won four Premier League titles among nine major trophies since joining City from Liverpool in 2015. He has scored 131 goals in 337 appearances for the "Citizens."
