The Saudi authorities announced today, Wednesday, the reopening of the Durah crossing, which connects Saudi Arabia with Jordan, following the completion of maintenance work that necessitated the crossing's closure on December 26 of last year. The Saudi Zakat, Tax, and Customs Authority stated in an official statement on its website that the Durah crossing, located in Haql Governorate in the Tabuk region (northern Saudi Arabia), will begin providing services to all travelers, importers, and exporters starting today at 12:00 PM Saudi time.

It was added that the maintenance work at the crossing during the closure was completed 100% before the scheduled reopening date, with the crossing prepared to receive travelers through continuous cooperation and coordination from all involved parties.

It is noteworthy that with the start of the closure of the Durah crossing, the authority had urged travelers heading to the crossing from both the Saudi and Jordanian sides to use the "Haal Ammer" crossing in the Tabuk region or the Al-Haditha crossing in the Al-Jawf region, as both crossings provide services to all arrivals and departures to and from the Kingdom or those wishing to import, export, or transit.
