A state of mourning has taken over the city of Alexandria and social media platforms in Egypt following the death of a young man named Abdullah Zizo Bateek, 18 years old, who died in a traffic accident while driving on the Mahmoudiya axis. The Egyptian newspaper Al-Watan reported that the accident had a strange coincidence as if his fate was written "on his car's license plate."
A friend of the deceased, named Mody Mounir, stated that the incident contained an oddity because the license plate of the car he was driving bore the number "S Y A - 9-25-9," which was interpreted as bad luck, as it contained "the date of the tragic accident." This friend noted that the license plate indicated the time "9" when the accident occurred, on the evening of "25" September, which is month "9," commenting with a sorrowful phrase, "Your fate was written on the car's number, my dear."
