The World's First AI-Driven Robotic Artist

Aida is the world's first robotic artist who creates paintings using the cameras in her eyes and her robotic arm, aided by artificial intelligence algorithms. In February 2019, Aida held her first solo exhibition titled "Uncertain Future" at the University of Oxford, where her work encouraged people to reflect on our rapidly changing environment. She later traveled and showcased her art around the world.

Aida operates on an Android system developed by English exhibition maker Aidan Miller. The robot is well-equipped for producing fine arts, with two cameras for eyes and a robotic arm capable of performing fine motor skills like painting. Her AI program has been trained in drawing and even sculpture. Aida has impressed the world with her ability to create images of people and situations she observes.

The robot was developed by a team of programmers, roboticists, art specialists, and psychologists over more than two years, completing in 2019 and updated as AI technologies have advanced. Aida has previously demonstrated her ability to paint and write poetry. Her new drawing skill was unveiled before her solo exhibit at the 2022 Venice Biennale, which is set to open to the public on April 22 this month.

The Venice Biennale exhibition for Ai-Da Robot, titled "Jumping into the Metaverse," will explore the intersection of human experience and AI technology, relying on Dante's concepts to contemplate the future of humanity in a world where AI technology continues to encroach upon daily human life, according to Market Post.
