Iranian Foreign Minister Amir Abdollahian announced an agreement with Russia regarding information cooperation and several other economic and trade projects. During a press conference with his Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov in Tehran on Thursday, he stated that the two countries agreed on several economic projects, including roads and railways, as well as scientific collaboration through the establishment of a technical and scientific cooperation center between the countries.
He also expressed hopes for a trilateral summit of the presidents of Iran, Russia, and Turkey in Tehran, part of which would be dedicated to the Astana process. Regarding the Iranian nuclear file, Abdollahian mentioned that if negotiations resume, they hope to reach an agreement, noting that Lavrov confirmed Russia's support for reaching this point.
Commenting on the situation in Ukraine, the Iranian Foreign Minister reiterated his country's viewpoint on the roots of this crisis and NATO's interventions, stating that Tehran does not see war as a solution to the crisis and welcomes political and diplomatic resolutions. Additionally, the Iranian Foreign Minister asserted that his country will not allow Israel to threaten the security and stability of the region.
