New PSG Coach: My Plan for Neymar

The new head coach of Paris Saint-Germain, Christophe Galtier, expressed his desire for Neymar to remain with the French club, stating that he has a "very clear idea of how to bring out the best in the Brazilian star." The club recently announced Galtier's appointment as the replacement for Argentine Mauricio Pochettino, who was dismissed from his position on Tuesday.

With the team's repeated failures in the Champions League, media reports about a possible departure for Neymar (30) resurfaced. However, Galtier said in his first press conference since taking on the role that Neymar will be a key player in his plans.

The French coach continued: "Neymar is a world-class player," explaining, "I have a very clear idea of what I want from him. I haven't met him yet, but I want him to stay with us." Reports indicated that PSG is willing to allow Neymar to leave if they receive a suitable offer during the ongoing transfer window, amidst speculation about a possible return to Spanish club Barcelona or a first experience in the Premier League. Neymar joined Paris Saint-Germain from Barcelona in the summer of 2017 for €222 million, the largest transfer in football history.
