Circular from the Banks Association Regarding Dollar Checks

The Banks Association issued the following: The text of the circular states: "Following the decision of the Association's Board of Directors held on May 18, 2022, the association recommends that banks accept all checks not exceeding fifteen thousand US dollars that beneficiaries deposit in their accounts, provided that cashing them or transferring them outside Lebanon after collection is not requested, and that they align with the usual activity and movement of the account. Additionally, checks drawn at the order of any current or retired freelancer from their syndicate solidarity fund are also considered."
