The Ahmad bin Ali Stadium hosted the match between Mexican club Tigres UANL and South Korea's Ulsan Hyundai, marking the opening of the Club World Cup.
The match ended with Tigres defeating Ulsan Hyundai 2-1, securing a spot in the semi-finals of the tournament, which continues until February 11.
K. H. Kim of Ulsan Hyundai scored the first goal against Tigres UANL in the 24th minute of the match. French player André-Pierre Gignac scored an equalizer for Tigres UANL in the 38th minute against Ulsan Hyundai, and just before halftime, he scored again to give his team a 2-1 lead, ending the first half with the Mexican champions ahead.
The second half saw both teams competing fiercely, but neither managed to convert their chances into goals, leading to the match concluding with Tigres' victory over Ulsan Hyundai by a score of 2-1.
It is worth noting that Tigres UANL won the CONCACAF Champions League after defeating Los Angeles FC, the champion of the United States, 2-1 in the final held in Orlando, USA, last December.
