Launch of Public Screenings for

Today marks the first public screening of the feature film "Morning Star," directed by Jud Saeed and co-written with Samah Al-Qattal, taking place at City Cinema in Damascus with the presence of the film's stars.

The film features a cast that includes: "Mohammad Al-Ahmad, Hussein Abbas, Lujain Ismail, Nasreen Fendi, Karam Al-Shaarani, Youssef Al-Muqbil, Mamoun Al-Khateeb, Rana Jamoul, Ali Ramadan, Ala Saeed, Sandy Nahas, Nader Abdel Hai, Aliya Saeed, Nawar Saadeddin, Sara Sadqi, and Nadia Sadqi." It is a narrative feature that addresses the plight of kidnapped Syrian women who endured torture during the years of war, highlighting their suffering in a presumed cinematic format while subtly opening a window of hope. The film won the Golden Tanit for Audience Award at its world premiere at the Carthage Film Festival in 2019 and participated in the Horizons of Arab Cinema competition at the Cairo International Film Festival in 2019.
