A statement from the Internal Security Forces General Directorate - Public Relations Division, indicates the following: On 7-7-2022, the owner of a currency exchange company in Tripoli filed a complaint with the Jbeil police station against his brother and his brother's wife:

- D. Sh. (born in 1979, Lebanese)
For the crime of stealing an amount of /470,000/ US dollars from the company in a fraudulent manner, while transferring the amount from Beirut to Tripoli in a four-wheel drive vehicle, a "Honda Pilot". The first suspect stopped in front of a bakery in Halat and asked his cousin (H. N., born in 1987, Lebanese), who was with him and also works in the company, to get off to buy bread. B. N. then fled in the car with the aforementioned amount.
Through investigations and follow-ups, it was revealed that B. N. and his wife D. Sh. had left their home and disappeared. Therefore, the general directorate requests anyone who has seen them or knows their whereabouts to contact the Jbeil police station at the regional gendarmerie on the number: 548092/09, to provide any information they may have, noting that any citizen who contributes to their arrest will remain anonymous according to the law.
