The Egyptian actress Elham Shahin has launched an attack on Egyptian actors who refuse to perform hot and intimate scenes in films. In a televised interview, she pointed out that such scenes are not what they used to be. Shahin stated during her appearance on the program "Hebr Sari," which airs on "Cairo and the People" channel: "There are no hot scenes in cinema anymore; what's present now is what they refuse. I heard and read that someone falls to the ground and is unconscious, or a doctor holds her hand to check her pulse. If she says, 'No one should touch my hand to check my pulse,' what can the director do? Don't work."
Additionally, she remarked: "For example, Mona Arafa and Mohamed Nagaty, what does it mean when she's down on the ground and he is supposed to lift her? If no one can touch me, that is a doctor checking the pulse to see if you are alive or dead; this is unacceptable."
