The head of the Executive Council of "Hezbollah," Sayyed Hashem Safi al-Din, affirmed that "Lebanese people will be able to triumph over what we face today in Lebanon, but we must utilize our strength to overcome those who besiege us, pressure us, seek to impoverish our country, and target our people." His remarks came during the central Ashura council held by "Hezbollah" at the Ahl al-Bayt complex in the town of Bint Jbeil, in the presence of MP Hassan Fadlallah, the person in charge of the First Region in the Jabal Amel area, Haj Abdullah Nasser, and several scholars, officials, families of martyrs, and a crowd of residents.
Safi al-Din noted that "some in Lebanon wail, scream, and lament at every calamity, which is something easy for anyone to do. However, what matters is not just lamenting when a disaster occurs or when a problem arises, but rather having a stance and taking action. Political work is not merely about wailing; there are people in political work who do nothing but try to appear on TV screens and lament, competing with each other over the pains of the people."
He emphasized that "political and public responsibility is not merely about wailing and shouting and describing, but rather that these individuals should offer something, stir action, advance projects, and articulate what they want, what they are doing, and what their plan and vision are for addressing issues."
He concluded by affirming, "We have stood with the people and among them, and we will continue to be among them and with them, to tell the entire Lebanese people, politicians, and everyone following these circumstances, that we have solutions regarding electricity, water, bread, the economy, and various problems. However, it is not just important to have solutions; what matters is the ability to market them within the country due to the sectarian, communal, and factional calamities that everyone knows."
