Satellite Images: How Moscow Prepares for an Invasion of Kyiv

Russia has significantly increased its military presence this week at several strategic locations along the Ukrainian border, according to satellite images. The satellite images, published by the American company Maxar, revealed new Russian military deployments in various locations near Ukraine. The images, captured on Wednesday and Thursday, documented the deployment of additional troops and military equipment in three areas surrounding Ukraine: the Crimean Peninsula, a Russian training camp in Kursk near Eastern Ukraine, and in Belarus (northern Ukraine).

The deployment of additional Russian forces at the Ukrainian border confirms warnings issued by several countries about the necessity to evacuate Ukraine immediately before a potential Russian invasion begins. Experts noted that these images could either represent "the largest deception in modern military history or a genuine expression of Russia's desire to show the world it is preparing for military action."

On Friday, the U.S. warned of a possible imminent Russian invasion of Ukraine, while Moscow described these statements as "hysteria" and urged Kyiv to "remain calm." Western intelligence indicated that Russia could attack Ukraine as early as next week.
