The Passing of an Egyptian Artist

Egyptian artist Fatma Mazhar passed away yesterday evening at the age of 79. Nahla Anbar, a member of the Board of Directors of the Actors’ Syndicate in Egypt, confirmed to "Masrawy" news website that "the news is true." Nahla stated, "I have no information about the date of the burial or condolences." It is noted that Fatma Mazhar was born on June 2, 1943, and was the half-sister of the prominent artist Ahmed Mazhar. She had retired from the arts many years ago. The esteemed artist participated in significant works, most notably: "The Beach of Fun," "The Love Seller," "Demons of the Sea," "Warm Embraces," "For the Sake of My Son," and "The Wives' Garden."
