The "San Mamés" stadium hosted the match between Athletic Bilbao and their guests Getafe, as part of the 20th round of the Spanish La Liga 2020-21 season.
Athletic Bilbao achieved a big victory over Getafe with a score of 5-1. Getafe initially took the lead just 18 seconds into the match through their player Marc Cucurella, but Bilbao's star Raúl García equalized quickly in the 12th minute. Getafe's Jaime Mata missed a penalty in the 29th minute, and the first half ended 1-1. In the second half, Bilbao scored four goals, thanks to Iñigo Martínez, Raúl García again, Álex Berenguer, and Óscar de Marcos in the 50th, 61st, 75th, and 82nd minutes, respectively.
With this result, Bilbao rises to ninth place in the La Liga standings with 24 points, while Getafe remains at 23 points in 13th place. Atlético Madrid leads the La Liga table with 47 points, 7 points ahead of second-placed Real Madrid.
