A recent list has been revealed ranking the smartest Arab nations (according to IQ scale), based on a study conducted between 2002-2006 by British psychologist Richard Lynn and Finnish professor Tatu Vanhanen, which included more than 80 countries. It is noteworthy that the researchers noted a reciprocal relationship between national income and intelligence level, as well as a correlation between intelligence level and economic growth rates and national wealth.
Globally, Hong Kong topped the list, achieving an average IQ of 108 points, while Singapore and South Korea ranked second and third, respectively. Equatorial Guinea ranked last as the country with the lowest IQ level in the world.
In the Arab world, Iraq ranked first with an IQ score of 87 points. Kuwait came second with 86 points, and Yemen was third with an average IQ score of around 85 points. In fourth place, four Arab countries tied, each achieving an equal IQ score of 84 points: Jordan, Morocco, the UAE, and Saudi Arabia.
