Saudi Arabia Strengthens Digital Transformation Partnership with G20 Countries

The Saudi Minister of Communications and Information Technology, Engineer Abdullah bin Amer Al-Swaha, met with the Italian Minister of Economic Development and Innovation, Giancarlo Giorgetti. The meeting focused on enhancing cooperation in the fields of communications, information technology, and space. Al-Swaha also held a meeting with the Federal Minister for Economic Affairs and Energy of the Federal Republic of Germany, Peter Altmaier, discussing the Kingdom's efforts to accelerate digital transformation, stimulate entrepreneurship, and support the research, development, and innovation ecosystem. They reviewed investment opportunities available in the Saudi market for German companies specialized in technology, space, and innovation.

Additionally, on the sidelines of the G20 Digital Economy Leaders' meetings, Al-Swaha had extensive discussions with Japanese Minister of Internal Affairs and Communications Takeda Rota about the bilateral relations between the two countries, particularly in communications and information technology, leveraging Japan's technical advancements and expertise. Following this, he met with Singapore's Minister of Communications and Information, Josephine Teo, where they reviewed the promising investment opportunities in the Kingdom related to information technology, space, and innovation. Al-Swaha concluded his meetings with a discussion with his South African counterpart, focusing on opportunities for joint cooperation to accelerate the adoption of modern technologies, stimulate digital entrepreneurship, and partnership in research, development, and innovation.
