Ragheb Alama Criticizes Political Followers: "I Swear They Have No Shame"

Ragheb Alama Criticizes Political Followers:

Lebanese artist Ragheb Alama expressed his strong dissatisfaction with television programs that feature followers of politicians, whom he believes are responsible for the decline of conditions in Lebanon.

In a tweet, Alama wrote: "The worst thing happening these days is that you are forced to stay home, turn on the TV for entertainment, and you get something much worse than corona; political followers who destroyed the country sit talking about their leaders' heroism, with each blaming other parties for the destruction." He broke his silence and criticized the political followers, stating: "I swear they have no shame! Please, Lebanese screens, spare us from their hypocrisy."

On another note, the Lebanese artist commented on the rising cases of coronavirus worldwide, urging everyone to adhere to precautionary measures. Alama stated: "The large spread of corona in all countries is frightening. Some do not feel symptoms, and some reach a dangerous stage. Yesterday, there were 5400 corona cases in Lebanon. A friend of mine, who is a doctor, told me that we have a higher chance of winning the lottery than the chance of corona not reaching every home. God, we do not ask you to avert fate, but we ask for kindness in it."
