The Speaker of the Lebanese Parliament, Nabih Berri, received the Commander of the Nepalese Army, General Prabhu Ram Sharma, at the second presidential headquarters in Ain Tineh. General Sharma conveyed the congratulations of his Nepalese counterpart on Berri's re-election as Speaker for a new term, emphasizing "the readiness of the Parliament in the Kingdom of Nepal to enhance legislative cooperation with the Lebanese Parliament."
Berri also welcomed the Romanian Ambassador to Lebanon, Radu Catalin Mardar, to discuss general conditions and bilateral relations between the two countries. Additionally, Berri met with the Saudi Ambassador to Lebanon, Walid Bukhari, who congratulated him on his re-election as Speaker for another term, affirming "the unifying national role played by President Berri." The discussion during the visit covered the general situation and the latest developments in Lebanon and the region.
In the afternoon, the Speaker received the Minister of Defense in the caretaker government, Maurice Sleem, to discuss the political updates and the general conditions in the country, particularly related to security.
On another note, President Berri received a congratulatory message from the President of the Order of Malta, Albert Freiherr von Boeselager, on the occasion of his re-election as Speaker.
