Title: Haj Hassan: Hezbollah is the First Affected by the Current Situation in the Bekaa

Member of the Loyalty to the Resistance Bloc, MP Hussein Haj Hassan, affirmed that Hezbollah is one of the most affected parties by the current security chaos in the Bekaa region.

In an interview with Al-Manar TV, Haj Hassan stated that no one can harm the party by accusing it of replacing the state in the Bekaa, clarifying that the party does not protect anyone or confront the people, but rather pressures for security forces to fulfill their role in the region. He emphasized that the party supports the people and does not cover criminals, and mentioned that there are baseless political accusations directed at them.

The deputy urged security agencies to combat smuggling in all areas, considering that the people of Bekaa, specifically in Hermel, are among the most affected by smuggling activities. He condemned linking public services to electoral calculations, questioning, "What is the problem with implementing projects that ease people's lives amid the state's neglect and inaction?"

Regarding the issue of building permits, MP Hussein Haj Hassan clarified that the matter has been unresolved since 1997 and is still pending today.

Furthermore, the head of the Baalbek-Hermel deputies bloc, MP Hussein Haj Hassan, confirmed that Hezbollah continues to implement developmental projects in several villages from its own budget, based on needs and priorities, as a token of loyalty from the party to Baalbek and the towns that have made sacrifices and continue along the path of resistance.

The Bekaa region is witnessing smuggling operations and security chaos, with Hezbollah accused of being responsible, yet the party has denied these accusations on multiple occasions. They warned years ago of the exacerbation of the situation if effective measures are not taken, considering that "solving the security issue today is better than tomorrow."
