During their sweeps of areas recently liberated in Shabwa Governorate, southeastern Yemen, Alwaqia Forces discovered an Iranian-made surveillance camera which was in the possession of the Houthi militia. In a video published on the forces' YouTube account, one of its members explained the features of the camera, noting that it transmits events live over the internet and operates automatically. He added that the fighters found the camera on a hill in the Ayn Directorate, which has witnessed fierce battles against the Iranian-backed Houthis in recent days.
It is worth mentioning that the clearance operations in the Ayn Directorate, which was fully declared liberated from the militia on Monday, are still ongoing by Alwaqia Forces and the Yemeni army. Meanwhile, engineering teams, as a correspondent for Al Arabiya/Al Hadath explained yesterday, are purging the recently liberated areas in Bayhan and Ayn of explosive devices and mines planted by the Houthis in many roads.
Just two days ago, the army, the forces, and the resistance managed to liberate all of Shabwa after driving the militia out of the districts of Aysilan, Bayhan, and Ayn, following ten days of fighting, supported by the Coalition to Support Legitimacy in Yemen. The battle has now shifted to the Al-Bayda and Marib Governorates as well. The Houthis had taken control of three districts in southern Shabwa in September 2021 before being expelled just days ago.
