The mother of Syrian artist Jamal Al-Ali passed away today, Wednesday, as announced by the Syrian Artists Syndicate on its official Facebook page, extending condolences to the artist.
The syndicate indicated that the deceased's body will be buried tomorrow, Thursday, from in front of the Al-Mawasa Charity Hospital at 10 AM, and the funeral prayer will be performed with the noon prayer in Al-Maadamiya. Director Mohammed Zuhair Rajab expressed his condolences to the artist, writing on his Facebook page: "May God grant her eternal rest. The mother of my friend Jamal Al-Ali, Abu Zahir, has passed away. My deepest condolences to the bereaved family, and may she rest in peace." Condolences were also offered by Adnan Abu Al-Shamat, Qassem Malhouf, Rabin Issa, Ghada Bashour, Taysir Idris, among many others through comments.
As of now, artist Jamal Al-Ali has not commented on his mother's death, especially since he is known for his limited presence and activity on social media. Condolences will be held on Saturday, February 27, and Sunday, February 28, at the Al-Akram Hall (Al-Akram Mosque) in the Mezzeh area of the capital, Damascus, from 7:30 PM to 9:30 PM, according to some sources close to the deceased. Artist Jamal Al-Ali is known for his comedic roles, especially in the sketches of "Baqat Dhu," and the famous series "Dai'at Dayaa."
