Former MP Mohammad al-Hajjar tweeted, "After a careful reading of the electoral scene and its initial outcomes, it is confirmed that President Saad Hariri's decision to suspend the traditional political work of 'Future Movement,' which was also my choice to refrain from running for office, was indeed the right one at this stage. However, my abstention does not in any way mean resigning from our duty and commitment towards our community in the region and Chouf. What we have accomplished in terms of infrastructure projects and educational, professional, and health facilities over the past years was only a part of the rights that our region has long waited to achieve.
Therefore, while I congratulate the winners, I extend my hand for assistance, each from their position, to work on implementing new projects and completing those we have started, especially those related to the extraction of water from wells in the Biseri River basin towards Basaba to meet the water needs of all villages in the region, as well as replacing the polluting Jiyyeh thermal power plant with a new environmentally friendly one, based on the study conducted and approved by the parliamentary committee I chaired, and finally completing the government building complex in Shuhain and the road connecting it.
