Hariri Remains Firm... No Call for Boycott?

Member of the Future Bloc, MP Assem Araji, praised the enthusiasm shown by expatriates in exercising their natural right to vote in an interview with the electronic newspaper, al-Anbaa. He noted that the results were very acceptable and that voter turnout was also good, despite this being the second time expatriates participated in the elections. He anticipated an increase in participation in upcoming elections, especially with the introduction of megacenters.

Regarding the participation of Future Movement supporters and discussions about a potential boycott that have emerged in several countries, Araji pointed out that "there are no specific numbers showing the participation rates among different sects, and there hasn't been any sorting process to determine if there is a boycott or not."

In response to a question about the possibility of President Saad Hariri urging the Future Movement to participate in the elections to avoid Hezbollah's dominance, Araji said: "So far, nothing has been communicated by Hariri, but at the same time, he has not asked anyone to boycott the elections, and there is no decision for a boycott in any of his statements." He mentioned that Hariri cannot ask his supporters to participate as he has left the choice to the people, just as he has left it to the MPs.
