Three hospital workers in Egypt sustained various injuries to their bodies after being hit by a car driven by a pharmacist inside the hospital's parking lot. The Beni Suef Security Directorate received a report from emergency police about the injuries sustained by the three workers, who were struck by the pharmacist's vehicle at the specialized hospital.
The emergency department of the Beni Suef Specialized Hospital received the three injured workers, and two were transferred to the orthopedic surgery department while one was taken to the intensive care unit of the hospital.
The son of one of the injured workers, Ahmad Adel Mohamed, shared details of the incident, stating that his mother, Amal Mohamed Hassan, was tasked with delivering documents within the hospital. Upon returning, she was unexpectedly hit by the pharmacist’s vehicle alongside two other workers present at the scene in front of the hospital. He indicated that the doctor misjudged the situation while driving and accidentally pressed the accelerator instead of the brake, which led to their serious injuries.
According to the “Al-Masry Al-Youm” newspaper, Ahmad further explained that his mother was moved to the ICU at the hospital, and after a CT scan of her brain, doctors discovered that the bleeding had not stopped. She was prepared for surgery to remove the bleeding from her brain. Following the surgical procedure, she was transferred back to the ICU. He noted that doctors confirmed she would undergo another surgery on her spinal vertebrae as soon as her condition stabilized, emphasizing that her health status remains unstable.
