Morocco and Gabon Draw and Qualify for the Round of 16 in the Africa Cup of Nations

The Gabonese team accompanied their Moroccan counterparts to the Round of 16 of the Africa Cup of Nations football tournament after the conclusion of the final matchday in Group C, while the Ghanaian team was eliminated from the competition. The Gabonese national team drew 2-2 with the Moroccan team, while the Ghanaian team lost to Comoros 2-3.

With these results, Morocco topped Group C with seven points, followed by Gabon with five points, allowing both teams to qualify for the Round of 16, while Ghana finished last in the group with just one point and exited the tournament. Comoros collected their first three points, finishing in third place.

At the Ahmadou Ahidjo Stadium, the Gabonese national team drew with Morocco 2-2. Gabon's goal was scored by Jim Allevinah in the 21st minute, followed by a penalty equalizer from Sofiane Boufal for Morocco in the 74th minute. Aaron Bupendza then scored Gabon's second goal in the 81st minute, before Achraf Hakimi equalized again for Morocco in the 84th minute.

At the Roumde Adjia Stadium, the Ghanaian team was eliminated from the tournament after losing to Comoros 2-3. Comoros' goals were scored by Al Fardou Ben Nabouhane in the 4th minute and Ahmed Mogni (two goals) in the 62nd and 85th minutes, while Ghana's goals came from Richmond Boakye and Alexander Djiku in the 64th and 77th minutes. The match also saw the red card of Ghana's Andre Ayew in the 25th minute.
