Meeting in Ras Naqoura Discusses Daily Israeli Violations of Lebanese Sovereignty

The following statement was issued by the Army Command - Direction of Guidance: On May 19, 2022, a tripartite meeting was held in Ras Naqoura, chaired by the Commander of the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon, Major General Arnaldo Latharo, with the presence of a delegation of Lebanese Army officers headed by the Lebanese Government Coordinator with the UN Force, Brigadier General Munir Shihadeh. The parties discussed the ongoing and repeated Israeli violations of Lebanese sovereignty by land, sea, and air, and reaffirmed Lebanon's commitment to Resolution 1701 and all its provisions. The Lebanese side also emphasized the need for the Israeli enemy to withdraw from all occupied Lebanese territories, including: the Shebaa Farms, Kfar Shouba Hills, the northern occupied part of the town of Ghajar, and the 17 points considered as a permanent violation.
