It seems that the United States is experiencing visits from predatory animals without prior warning. After social media buzzed days ago about an alligator roaming the streets of Florida, another video showed a giant bear strolling in downtown Asheville, North Carolina. The state police announced that bear sightings in urban areas have become frequent, responding to three similar incidents within a few weeks. The massive black bear in the clip appeared to be escaping from a wildlife reserve, as it was wearing a tracking collar, according to the UPI news agency. The predatory animal walked through pedestrian walkways in the area before climbing a nearby tree. This incident occurred shortly after a similar event in Florida when a U.S. deputy police chief captured a video of a large alligator crawling through a front yard before making its way to a lake in the area. The Sarasota County Sheriff's Office posted on Facebook at the time that the video was filmed in the Venice suburb of Florida.
The alligator was about 3 meters long. According to estimates from the police deputies, the alligator measures approximately 10 feet, or about 3 meters. Additionally, the sheriff's office informed the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission about the incident. Neighbors were advised to remain alert, as the alligator moved to Harrington Lake to enjoy an Easter morning swim. It is worth noting that the Venice suburb is located south of Tampa on the Gulf Coast of Florida.
