Terrifying Crime Among Siblings Shakes Sana'a: They Strangled Their Sister with Their Own Hands

Under the title "Terrifying Crime Among Siblings Shakes Sana'a: They Strangled Their Sister with Their Own Hands," the Al Arabiya website reported a shocking incident in Yemen where a girl became a victim of a heinous act by her own family. A young woman named Shrouq Ahmed was killed by her brothers, who strangled her with their own hands, ending her life.

According to the details, three of Shrouq's brothers, with the help of their cousin, strangled her, accusing her of a crime related to honor. After the murder, they transported her body to the village of Al-Mahlah in the Dhamar Governorate, south of the Yemeni capital.

Local media reported that the perpetrators are Abdullah Ahmed Mani, Ghaleb Ahmed Mani, Mohammed Ahmed Mani, and Abdul Razzaq Nasser Ahmed Mani. In response, a campaign has been launched on social media under the hashtag Shrouq Ahmed, calling for an end to honor crimes and accountability for those involved in ending the life of the young Yemeni woman.

It is worth noting that many similar crimes occur in various regions of Yemen. Last year, the capital witnessed a horrific crime that shocked the entire country, where three brothers also murdered their underage sister after torturing her and forcing her to drink poison in the Sa'fan district of Sana'a Governorate, following accusations that she had a relationship with a young man in a rural area belonging to Sana'a.
