Recently, medical and training centers, as well as hotels, have been active in promoting exclusive advertisements offering discounts on their services for vaccinated individuals, with discounts reaching up to 25%. This initiative is part of the national campaign to support the "COVID-19" vaccination effort. Citizens and residents have called for more of these initiatives to encourage individuals to choose vaccination and to motivate hesitant individuals to receive the vaccine in order to achieve full immunity within the community.
Last month, the National Emergency, Crisis and Disasters Management Authority announced that strict measures are being considered soon across all sectors to restrict the movement of unvaccinated individuals as a preventive measure, which may include prohibiting them from entering certain places and obtaining certain services, to ensure the health and safety of everyone.
In detail, hotels, driving institutes, medical centers, and resorts have announced exclusive offers for customers who have received the "COVID-19" vaccine, including discounts of up to 25% on hotel stays, meals, free breakfast, 20% off surgical procedures and laser vision correction, and 10% off vehicle driving courses. Additionally, coffee shops have offered exclusive promotions, providing free coffee for a month to anyone who has been vaccinated against "COVID-19" in the country.
Citizens and residents emphasized the importance of such initiatives in supporting the country's efforts to contain the "COVID-19" pandemic and successfully implement the national vaccination campaign. They called for more offers and discounts for vaccinated individuals to encourage those hesitant about vaccination to take action promptly.
Abu Dhiyab suggested creating a dedicated website and social media account to publish all offers and discounts on various goods and services aimed at vaccinated individuals, indicating that this step would help encourage more companies and institutions to provide exclusive discounts, as well as its significance in motivating individuals to get vaccinated.
For his part, Mohammed Ayoub stressed the importance of these promotional means in motivating individuals to receive the vaccine and achieving full immunity within the community, noting that he looks forward to expanding the range of announced offers and discounts to include consumer and entertainment sectors such as cooperatives, cinemas, and sports centers.
Hazem Ahmed pointed out the importance of ensuring the credibility of advertisements promoting discounts for vaccinated individuals and tightening oversight by relevant authorities to confirm their legitimacy. He stressed the importance of supporting the state's efforts in combating COVID-19 and the national vaccination campaign.
### National Vaccination Campaign
The national vaccination campaign in the UAE continues to achieve its goals, with over 73.88% of the eligible population vaccinated, specifically individuals aged 16 and older, and 80.33% of the elderly population aged 60 and above, which is a priority group as they are at higher risk of contracting the disease and its complications.
