Title: The Progressive Socialist Party Questions the Government: A Matter of Conscience

The Progressive Socialist Party issued the following statement: "While those involved are immersed in discussions about the formation hampered by factors of obstruction and preconditions, the current government, in acting on a caretaker basis, turns a blind eye to significant responsibilities it has previously neglected and continues to do so intentionally, thereby deepening the crises further. Among these is the open strike being carried out by public sector employees, who are in a state of total inability to secure a decent livelihood, as well as the civil defense personnel who have not hesitated to risk their lives while the state denies them their rights, at a time when they are asked to perform their duties and face dangers without any assurance of their safety.

The question directed to the government, both past and present, is: Why have you neglected the approval of the customs dollar, which would have provided revenues that could be invested in supporting employees to the extent possible above their meager salaries? Have the monopolists and smugglers not had enough that you continue to grant them more by not approving the customs dollar? This is a scandal for all who populistically advocate to prevent the increase of the customs dollar price, while their true aim is to protect monopolies and smuggling at the expense of the people.

And if we are to mention related matters, who will tell the people about the subsidized card promised to low-income individuals and the poor, from which no one has seen any result? Where did it go? How? And why was it not granted to public sector employees or civil defense personnel? These are questions that the Progressive Socialist Party puts forth as a matter of conscience, if there is any remaining among those concerned, and as a call to the parliamentary council to fulfill its role, and to the presumed government to do what is necessary to provide the most basic rights of the people."
