Google Announces Its New Phone Pixel 5A: Here Are Its Specifications

Google has officially announced its new phone, the Pixel 5A 5G, at an affordable price. This is the phone that was revealed in April, despite rumors of its cancellation. The American technology company stated that the new phone includes a short list of updated features compared to its predecessor, the Pixel 4a, including a slightly larger screen, a significantly larger battery, and an IP67 rating for water resistance.

The phone's price in the United States is $449, which is $50 less than the initial price of the Pixel 4a. The company revealed that the phone would be available for sale in the United States and Japan starting August 26.

Regarding the features of the "Pixel 5A," it supports 5G networks, comes with a 6.34-inch screen, and has a 4680 mAh battery. Google stated that it is sufficient for typical usage lasting a full day or two days when using the power-saving feature.

The features include a "Snapdragon 765G" chip with 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage, a main camera with 12.2 MP, a rear camera with 16 MP, and a selfie camera with 8 MP. The Pixel 5A is the first phone in the Pixel A series to receive an official water resistance rating.

The phone includes a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner for biometric unlocking, a headphone jack, and an 18W charger included in the box.
