Lebanon's Minister of Interior and Municipalities in the caretaker government, Bassam Mawlawi, met with the Qatari Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al Thani, in Qatar, where Mawlawi emphasized "the importance of the relations connecting Arab countries."
For his part, Minister Al Thani affirmed that "Qatar's relationship with Lebanon is historical," stating, "Lebanon is in our hearts, and standing by its side is a duty."
Mawlawi also participated in the activities of the 14th edition of the International Exhibition for Internal Security and Civil Defense "Milipol Qatar 2021" at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Center.
On the sidelines, Mawlawi discussed mutual interests with Qatari Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense Khalid bin Mohammed Al Attiyah.
Mawlawi accepted an invitation from the Qatari Ministry of Interior to a luncheon attended by the official delegations participating in the exhibition.
