Following in the footsteps of "Instagram," Facebook announced on Wednesday the launch of a short entertainment video service known as "Reels." The popular social media platform stated that the feature has been launched in the United States for both "iOS" and "Android" operating systems.
Facebook explained that relying on short videos like "Reels" can help "expand the follower base and entertain fans." It also revealed that this type of video can include music, effects, voice recordings, and many other features. "Reels" will appear on the "News Feed" or within groups. If viewers like the video creator, they can easily "follow" them, express their appreciation, or share the content with friends.
Video creators will be able to share their clips on Facebook for a specific audience or make them available to all users. Additionally, the video creator must be at least 18 years old. Facebook is also testing technology aimed at allowing content creators on Instagram to share their videos directly on Facebook.
