China announced on Tuesday that it has recorded the first human infection of the "H10N3" strain of bird flu, marking a first in the world. The National Health Commission of China reported that a confirmed human case of the "H10N3" strain of bird flu was recorded in Jiangsu Province. According to a statement on the commission's website, the case involves a 41-year-old man living in the city of Chenjiang in the eastern province, and the infection was transmitted from poultry, with a very low risk of widespread transmission. The commission stated that no human cases of the "H10N3" strain have been reported anywhere in the world before, according to Reuters.
