The young Egyptian actress Mona Arafa has dominated various social media platforms in recent hours, especially after her first media appearance following her separation from Mahmoud El Mahdy and her comments about him. Mona Arafa stated about Mahmoud El Mahdy, “I love him very much, and I have all the respect and appreciation for him, and he is definitely upset about what happened.” She added, “When we first announced the separation, the divorce had not yet been finalized; we decided to separate but it was not formalized on paper. This time, we are going through the procedures because there are many details between us that we need to resolve first for the separation to take place.” This was discussed during her appearance on the program "Sabaa Samaa," according to Al-Watan newspaper.
On her part, actress Mona Galal launched a harsh attack on Mona Arafa after the latter rejected Elham Shaheen's interference in her recent artistic problems, which have sparked considerable controversy on social media platforms. Mona Galal wrote on her Facebook page, saying, “Mona Arafa, what is your status to talk in this disrespectful manner about star Elham Shaheen?”
Mona Galal continued in her message to Mona Arafa, stating, “At least respect the age difference and call her ‘Professor’ instead of addressing her this way.” She added, “Someone should marry her and get her out of the way… What kind of behavior is this?! Learn even from the generations before you so you know how to respect the great stars... This is really too much.”
Mona Arafa had previously denounced Elham Shaheen's stance and her imposition of opinions regarding hot scenes in artistic works, especially since she separated from her husband, actor Mahmoud El Mahdy, about a month ago due to this crisis. In a recent television interview, she delivered a message to Elham Shaheen, saying, “Keep your opinion to yourself… No one asked for your opinion; do we have to kiss and hug in order to act?”
