Discover the List of the 100 Most Powerful Arab Figures in 2022

Executives from the UAE and Saudi Arabia have secured prominent positions on the list of the 100 most powerful Arab figures for 2022, according to a recent report by Gulf Business. The list features 100 personalities from various Arab countries, led by Yasir Al-Rumayyan, the Governor of the Saudi Public Investment Fund.

In second place is Sultan bin Ahmed Al Jaber, UAE Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology and CEO of Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) and its group of companies. Emiratis hold 5 out of the top 10 positions, while Saudis occupy 3 spots in the top ten. Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman and Chief Executive of Emirates Airline and Group, Chairman of Dubai Civil Aviation Authority, and Chairman of Dubai Airports, ranks third on the list.

In fourth place is Saad bin Sherida Al-Kaabi, CEO of QatarEnergy. Khaldoon Al Mubarak, Managing Director and CEO of Mubadala Investment Company, ranks fifth. According to the ranking, Amin Nasser, CEO of Aramco, is sixth, while Carlos Slim Helu, Lebanese-Mexican businessman and owner of América Móvil, comes in seventh.

Eighth place goes to businessman Mohammad Al Abbar, founder and chairman of Emaar Properties, followed by Sara bint Yousef Al Amiri, UAE Minister of State for Advanced Technology and Chairwoman of the UAE Space Agency, in ninth place. Tenth place is held by Prince Alwaleed bin Talal, the Saudi billionaire and Chairman of Kingdom Holding Company.

Others on the list include Mohammad Al Hammadi (CEO of the Emirates Nuclear Energy Corporation) in 11th place, Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem (Chairman of DP World) in 12th, Yousef Abdullah Al-Benyan (Vice Chairman and CEO of SABIC) in 13th, Hassan Al Thawadi (Secretary-General of the Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy in Qatar) in 14th, and Reem Al Hashimy (UAE Minister of State for International Cooperation, Director General of Expo 2020 Dubai) in 15th.

Egyptian Mohamed Salah, Liverpool star, ranks 30th. The list includes names from Egypt, Syria, Lebanon, Jordan, Palestine, Tunisia, and Morocco, representing business leaders and founders of global commercial companies.
