A husband named "Islam" has filed a lawsuit for marital disobedience against his wife "M.A." in Egypt, claiming she is "spoiled and irresponsible" and always feels that their life is inferior to others. He stated that his wife stopped cooking and began ordering food exclusively from restaurants, accusing him of being stingy.
According to details published by the Egyptian newspaper "Al-Watan," the husband claimed in his lawsuit that his wife always wants to buy food from outside and expects someone to assist her with housework. When he refuses, she accuses him of being miserly and complains to her family that he deprives her of her rights. After a recent argument, he decided to approach the family court and filed a case against her for marital disobedience.
In front of the family court judge, he stated: "After we were married, her behavior changed, and she started demanding excessive things, comparing our life to others. She wants help with housework like her relatives, has stopped cooking, and always orders food from restaurants. When I told her that it's not feasible as I don’t have enough money to order food every day, she got angry and told her family that I am restricting her."
He added that "his wife is irresponsible and has been causing problems since the beginning of their marriage, rebelling against their life together, contrary to how she initially presented herself, despite him providing all comforts and entertainment for her. Nevertheless, she claims he is stingy."
The lawsuit is registered under number 6377 and is still pending before the family court in Imbaba.
