The head of the Jordanian royal court, Yusuf Hassan Al-Isoei, met with the "people of the Ramtha district at the invitation of MP Khaled Abu Hassan." It has been reported that the royal court head listened during this meeting—attended by several current and former ministers, MPs, and dignitaries, as well as official, academic, and public figures—to the demands and needs of the district presented by MP Abu Hassan, MP Amal Al-Shuqran, new Ramtha Mayor Ahmad Al-Khazayla, Horan Plain Mayor Ali Al-Shuboul, the head of the customs offices owners' association, Dhiaf Allah Abu Aqueela, and young man Bassam Khowaila.
In this context, MP Abu Hassan noted that "the Ramtha district, which hosted the first wave of Syrian refugees in 2011, has been the most affected by the Syrian crisis due to the closure of borders, given that most families in the district rely on cross-border trade, shipping services, and traveler services. This, along with the impact on the infrastructure, necessitates more attention to address these issues."
The same MP affirmed that "the Ramtha district will continue to face challenges alongside the nation and its Hashemite leadership, transforming them into promising developmental opportunities while contributing to the reform and renaissance project led by His Majesty King Abdullah II on various levels."
Additionally, the Jordanian news site "Khaberni" reported that the speakers' demands focused on "the necessity of establishing projects to improve infrastructure in the sectors of education, water, sewage, roads, and environment, developing the waste sorting and recycling plant owned by the new Ramtha municipality, launching developmental and investment projects on municipal land, and establishing a civil status office in the Al-Buwaida town."
It was also mentioned that there were calls to "work on reopening the Ramtha border center, providing the Ramtha government hospital with medical and nursing equipment and staff, establishing a government services building in the Horan Plain area, creating a road linking Ramtha and Bani Kenanah, illuminating the Al-Shajara/Al-Mughair road, and establishing a business incubator for entrepreneurship and innovation in the district."
