3. **Chicken and Fish**: One of the primary functions of the liver is to process a lot of proteins, fats, and carbohydrates for the body’s use. Therefore, including plenty of proteins like fish and chicken in the diet is beneficial. Lean proteins are recommended as they assist the liver in its functions. Vegetarians can rely on lentils and nuts as alternatives.

4. **Olives and Olive Oil**: Olive oil increases good cholesterol levels in the body and protects the liver from fatty liver disease. Both olives and olive oil contain vitamin E and antioxidants, which are favorable for the liver.

5. **Nuts**: Nuts contain a significant amount of healthy cholesterol and are rich in vitamin E, which has been shown to help those with fatty liver disease. They are also high in protein. For individuals with advanced liver disease, consuming one gram of nuts per kilogram of body weight may be beneficial.

6. **Leafy Greens**: There are countless reasons to include leafy greens in the diet. Since the liver is responsible for regulating blood clotting in the body, vitamin K is essential to this role. It can be obtained from leafy greens such as spinach, lettuce, and kale.
