Al Ahly has sent the final list of players participating in the FIFA Club World Cup, which is being held in Abu Dhabi from December 3 to 12. The tournament features Al Jazira, the league champions and representatives of Emirati football, Al Hilal, representing Asia, Chelsea, the European champions, Palmeiras, the champions of Latin America, Monterrey, the CONCACAF champions, and Pirae, the Tahitian champions, who were eliminated after losing 1-4 to Al Jazira.

The Al Ahly squad includes 23 players: Ali Lotfy, Mostafa Shobeir, Hamza Alaa, Mohamed Hany, Rami Rabia, Mohamed Abdel Mon’em, Yasser Ibrahim, Mohamed Maghraby, Ali Maaloul, Mahmoud Wahid, Karim Fouad, Aliou Dieng, Hamdy Fathy, Amr El Solia, Mohamed Sherif, Ahmed Abdel Kader, Luis Miquissone, Hussain El Shahat, Mohamed Magdy Afsha, Ziad Tarek, Walid Soliman, Ayman Ashraf, and Tahr Mohamed Tahr.

The quartet Mohamed Sherif, Amr El Solia, Hamdy Fathy, and Ayman Ashraf are absent as they are with the Egyptian national team for the Africa Cup of Nations. Notably, the squad excludes first-choice goalkeeper Mohamed El Shenawy, who suffered a hamstring injury while playing for Egypt in the Africa Cup.

Al Ahly is preparing to face Monterrey, the Mexican champions, tomorrow in the first round of the Club World Cup. Additionally, the team has lost another player to injury as scans revealed that Al Ahly player Ammar Hamdi has suffered a complete tear of the knee ligament, sidelining him for at least six months.
