The Lebanese artist Abir Nehme revealed her infection with the COVID-19 virus through her official social media pages.
Nehme wrote on her personal Instagram account urging all her fans to take care of themselves due to the painful and severe symptoms, saying: "Unfortunately, the result of the corona test came back positive. This is not a joke, and the symptoms are very tough. I beg you to take care of yourselves, stay safe, and remain in your homes for your sake, mine, and for the sake of those you love."
Nehme received support from her colleagues in the artistic and media community, notably from Lebanese media personality Raghda Zayat, who was infected with the same illness two days ago, advising her to "Take care of yourself, my dear Abir, your heart is very tough." Meanwhile, Assala Nasri wrote: "Get well soon, you pure-hearted."
Her fans also wished her a speedy recovery, with comments like, "I am saddened from my heart, Abir, and I sincerely hope you recover safely, may this be a passing cloud, and you return to us safely, our heart's little bird," and "May God be with you and protect you; you deserve all the good, get well soon."
It is noteworthy that Abir Nehme's latest work is the song "Haydi Adni," written by Ghadi Rahbani and composed by Osama Rahbani, and the song was filmed as a music video directed by Jil al-Ghabri.
