A new update released by the American company Apple for its operating system (iOS 15.4) has sparked outrage among iPhone users due to a significant issue they faced. The British newspaper Daily Mail reported that many iPhone users noticed a rapid battery drain after downloading the new update. One user tweeted, "There is rapid battery drain on iPhone after updating to iOS 15.4... my phone's charge dropped by 5% in less than 10 minutes... this is ridiculous." Another user posted a picture showing how his battery has been draining since installing the new update, captioning it with "SOS Apple."
Apple released the iOS 15.4 update, which includes a much-requested COVID-19 feature. Mobile expert Adrian Kingsley commented on this issue, stating, "Installing a new operating system on an iPhone activates many background applications, which can continue for hours or even days." He explained that this process is called battery recalibration, often giving the impression that the charge is depleting faster than it really is. Kingsley urged users to monitor their "battery health" by going to "Settings," then "Battery," followed by "Battery Health," and then selecting "Peak Performance Capability."
