Groom Chases Bride with Gun on Their Wedding Night

A groom in his wedding suit shot at his friend in Louisiana after suspecting that the friend was in a romantic relationship with the bride. The bride managed to escape, but the groom chased her with a gun, and the police were able to save her at the last moment. Groom Devin Jose Jones was in a car with his bride Zenada Williams and their friend "Pal" on Highway 10 outside New Orleans late at night as traffic came to a standstill due to a multi-car accident around 11 PM.

According to the Daily Mail, a fight broke out inside the car, and investigators reported that 30-year-old groom "Jones" suspected his wife of cheating with their friend "Pal" and accused her of infidelity before pulling out a gun, prompting "Pal" to flee the vehicle. Witnesses reported seeing a tuxedo-clad gunman chasing someone between vehicles, and investigators determined that the gunman was groom Jones, who shot his friend in the leg. A stray bullet also struck the hand of another driver.

The terrified bride ran to a nearby ambulance, telling paramedics that her life was in danger, and barricaded herself inside while Jones attempted to force his way in, but the traffic congestion hindered him. Louisiana officials stated that when police arrived at the scene, they found Jones banging on the ambulance in an attempt to reach the bride, but the police were able to apprehend him and rescue her. The groom was charged with second-degree attempted murder and illegal use of weapons, and the injured individuals were airlifted to the hospital, reportedly in stable condition.
