# Expo 2020 Dubai: The Largest Global Event After the COVID-19 Crisis

Millions around the world are awaiting the launch of "Expo 2020 Dubai," an exceptional event that will last for 6 months. "Expo 2020 Dubai" will be the largest global event in light of the COVID-19 crisis and the first international expo to be held in the Middle East, Africa, and South Asia. With over 200 participants, including countries, organizations, companies, and educational institutions, the event opens its doors to visitors daily from October 1 to March 31, 2022, throughout the week from 10 AM to 12 AM from Saturday to Wednesday, and from 10 AM to 2 AM on Thursdays and Fridays.

"Expo 2020 Dubai" spans an area of 4.38 square kilometers in Dubai South, located near Al Maktoum International Airport, easily accessible from Dubai International Airport, Abu Dhabi International Airport, and cruise terminals in both cities. The opening ceremony of this exceptional event will be broadcast live on Thursday evening across more than 430 locations throughout the UAE.

More than 240 hotels in the UAE will host the opening evening of "Expo 2020 Dubai," including Rove, Armani, Address, and Vida from Emaar, as well as hotels from Accor, Marriott, Hilton, IHG, Rotana, Jumeirah Group, Hyatt, and Atlantis, The Palm. The official opening ceremony of "Expo 2020 Dubai" will be showcased at Abu Dhabi and Dubai International Airports, along with viewing events organized by partners such as Emirates, Dulsco, Terminus Group, L'Oreal, and Nissan.

Some major companies in the UAE will display the opening ceremony at their locations, including branches of Jaeger-LeCoultre, shopping centers belonging to Majid Al Futtaim Group, Medcare branches, City Walk Dubai, Zabeel Ladies Club, Sharaf DG branches, Nakheel Mall, Ibn Battuta Mall, and fitness centers.

Following the opening ceremony, there will be three fireworks displays in different areas of Dubai to celebrate the launch of the international event and its opening to the public. The fireworks will take place on Friday evening, October 1, at 8:20 PM local time, in Dubai Festival City, The Point (Palm Jumeirah), and Dubai Frame.
