Unions Threaten Street Protests Amid Calls for General Shutdown

As workers prepare to return to the streets to demand their rights, the upcoming phase is poised to witness significant mobilization. The National Federation of Labor Unions has called for street organization to combat poverty-inducing policies and exploitation, aiming to secure the right to fair wages. The federation is demanding an increase in the minimum wage to $1,300 USD.
Last week, the public sector staged a strike on Thursday and Friday. A delegation from public sector coordinating bodies toured political leaders, presenting them with a list of demands before considering more drastic actions.
According to information reported by "Ad-Diyar", if these demands are not met, the nation may face a series of street protests, accompanied by calls for a general shutdown.
