Syrian director Samir Hussein spoke about the conflicts that occurred between him and Syrian actress Safaa Sultan.
During his appearance as a guest on the "Drama Diaries" platform with Syrian journalist Majid Al-Ajlani, he claimed that actress Safaa Sultan caused him a crisis while directing some projects, labeling her as a "liar." Hussein added that Safaa Sultan filmed part of her role in the series "The Bottom of the City," then stopped, claiming that her mother was ill. They later discovered that her claims were false, as she had withdrawn from the project to join the series "Layla Murad," according to his account.
The Syrian director confirmed that this sudden withdrawal caused significant confusion for him and the production company, before they invited actress Kinda Hanna to replace Safaa Sultan in the role.
On another note, Samir Hussein shared his opinion about actor Taim Hassan, describing him as humble, stating that he does not wish to see Taim in the series "Al-Hayba," as he is far more important than that.
In discussing his late colleague, director Hatem Ali, he mentioned that he provided unforgettable lessons, expressing his wish to have a similar impact on the audience's hearts.
The director announced his refusal to direct a new season of the series "Miraya," explaining that it does not align with his vision and remains within the same framework without any new developments. He also expressed his opinion on the series "Chicago Street," describing it as "poor work," stating that the issue is not its boldness but rather the intertwining of plots and significant gaps in the material.
