Under the title "I Can’t Live Without You" - Jordanian Woman Dies 45 Minutes After Her Egyptian Husband, the Emirati newspaper Al-Bayan reported: "In 10 minutes, I will be with your father" and "I can't live without you," were the last words of Abeer Shehata, a Jordanian woman, when she learned of the death of her husband, Mr. Mohamed, who holds Egyptian nationality. She followed him only 45 minutes later to be buried in the family cemetery in Sharqia.

According to Egyptian media, Abeer Shehata Rashid, 42 years old, could not bear to see her husband, Mr. Mohamed El-Sayed Bessela, from Abu Kabir in Sharqia governorate, dying before her eyes, leading her to collapse. The wife felt her end was near and told those around her that she would follow her husband. Her predictions came true as she breathed her last after kissing her husband's feet, leaving both to depart together with a mere 45-minute difference.

A relative of the deceased husband stated that they did not expect the wife's death just minutes after the husband's. He said, "What happened was a tragedy and a grave occurrence that filled us with sadness, pain, and shock at the same time. Although the late Abeer repeated phrases saying she would die, we did not expect it. We thought what she was saying was just a reaction to her shock after her husband’s death, but her words swiftly turned into reality," according to Al-Watan newspaper.

One relative shared that the deceased husband had traveled to Jordan some time ago to look for work, where he met his wife. They lived together in Jordan for a period before returning to Egypt and settling in Abu Kabir for about two years. They then moved to the Red Sea after the late husband opened a carpentry workshop and lived in Hurghada for approximately 13 years. During this time, the couple and their children would frequently visit Abu Kabir to see his siblings, consisting of seven women and one man.

He noted that on the day of their death, the couple had dinner with the husband's sister and her children. Later, he asked his wife to make him a cup of coffee and, after a while, went to his room to sleep. However, he suddenly fell ill, and family members rushed him to the hospital. Upon arrival, the doctor informed them of his passing. They then took him back home, preparing for his final farewell.

The relative highlighted that the wife was in a state of collapse and informed her family in Jordan about her husband’s death, after which she began speaking of following him. She even told her daughter, "In 10 minutes, I will be with your father." Not long after, she indeed passed away, with her last action being a kiss on her husband’s feet before collapsing on the ground unconscious. When they transported her to the hospital, the doctor declared that she had died of a heart attack.
