Death of Kuwaiti Artist Mishari Al-Blam Due to COVID-19

The Kuwaiti artist Mishari Al-Blam has passed away today, Thursday, after days in intensive care due to a COVID-19 infection he contracted shortly after receiving the vaccine.

His relative, artist Hassan Al-Blam, posted a photo of the deceased on his Instagram account with the caption, "Indeed, we belong to Allah and indeed to Him we return." The late artist had shared a photo from the hospital on his Instagram account stating, "Do not forget me in your prayers. Thank God for every situation, and I am grateful to my family, fellow artists, and beloved loyal audience for their inquiries. Everything that happened during vaccination led to my infection with COVID-19; it was destined, and I ask for your forgiveness for not being able to answer calls."

Mishari Al-Blam was born in 1972 and performed many complex roles, such as a person suffering from epilepsy in the series "Drob Al-Shak" and a deaf-mute individual in "Jarh Al-Zaman." These performances garnered him significant fame in the local, Gulf, and Arab artistic community.

It is worth noting that the late artist was filming several projects before his admission to the hospital, including "Darb Al-Hawa," "The Missing Will," and "House of Humiliation," which featured him alongside stars of Kuwaiti and Gulf drama, focusing primarily on social drama. In previous statements, the late artist expressed his happiness in participating in three works simultaneously, explaining that such high-quality scripts and the presence of wonderful co-stars made it difficult for any artist to refuse.
