Ongoing Protests in Tripoli and Restraint from Security Forces

A number of protesters have climbed onto the roof of the inspection room adjacent to the entrance of the Serail.

The National News Agency reported that several protesters scaled the roof of the inspection room next to the entrance of the Serail after removing the barbed wire and throwing stones at security forces inside. The agency clarified that security forces remain deployed at the entrance and are dealing with the protesters calmly and with restraint. In a similar context, the agency noted that protesters blocked the road between Bireh and Qbayyat with containers and stones in protest against deteriorating living conditions. It is worth mentioning that clashes with security forces during the recent protests regarding the lockdown and living conditions in Tripoli last night resulted in injuries to 26 members of the Internal Security Forces.
